Ancient Gate Coffee exists to invite the people of Seattle into an urban expression of home through the beautiful experience of story and specialty coffee.

Coffee, when grown, processed, roasted, and brewed with excellence, can resemble a spiritual experience. Every part of the process, from seed to cup, crescendos into a flavor adventure for your palate. This excites us! Our Coffee Lead, Kegan, has a fascination with the flavors that can be found in different countries of origin. This started in 2012 when he tasted his first single origin Ethiopian while at his first job in coffee. His love for unique flavors has expanded as his travels led him to sample coffees from around the world.

In 2022, a once in a lifetime opportunity arose for Ancient Gate Coffee Co. Although Kegan has passed on opportunities in the past, Ancient Gate has been the right combination of people and circumstances to see this dream come to life. After two years of design, planning, and construction we are excited to finally be opening our doors this fall!

At Ancient gate we are passionate about sharing what the experience of coffee can be like with our community. We hope our excitement for the beauty that can be found in every coffee and in every human will be felt and expressed through every cup we serve. We hope that our city and neighborhood will feel welcome to sit at our table and enjoy shared space, stories, and excellent coffee.
